First graders work a with a buddy to help save our natural resources by building sculptures with recycled materials.

The first graders enjoyed a field experience about the life of the Ogden children and their family in the 1700’s at the Ogden House in Fairfield. We learned about school, work, and play. We toured the Ogden House as well as participating in activities from the 17-1800’s such as carding wool.

On Friday the first and fifth grade classes shared in a field experience at Sport Hill Farm in Easton, CT. The owner of the farm, Patty Pop gave us a tour of the farm and explained how she and her husband take care of the many different veggies that grow each season. Both classes got their hands dirty as they dug for potatoes. They filled three bushels!! Thank you to chaperones who attended and most importantly to Ms. Pop for sharing her farm with us!

First graders take a break and enjoy some recess time on the first day of school!!
